@BasmaKhalifa reviews @MaryKatrantzou’s SS13 collection from the front row. #LFW
"Potentially one of my favorite shows of the week. And not because I’m all about digital prints. I actually cringe at the thought of digital print. But more to the point it was the shapes this seasons at Mary Katrantzou. The draping, the flouncy dresses left everyone dreaming of Spring. And yes, everything was printed as if her life depended on it. But undoubtedly every stamp and bank note carried a story. The shapes carried the prints. Making it a well established collection. Last seasons I may have been cynical…but this season, I may have been won over."

@BasmaKhalifa reviews @SimoneRocha’sSS13 collection from the front row. #LFW
“Simone Rocha’s SS13 collection was quite refreshing. Her signature masculine over sized shapes were still going strong. The show opened with an array of whites, white skirts, white shirts and white jackets. But soon transformed into nudes and mellow yellows. It then went into greys and blacks with sudden punches of neon yellows and pinks. Quite surprising as none of the collection seemed to be heading towards neon. But the most memorable parts of the show were the knotted disheveled hair styles and the shapes. I really have a thing for excess unnecessary material at the back of any dress or jacket. And peplums, another favourite, NOTHING says summer loving like a little peplum skirt or dress, the gothics of the world can try and hide from it but summer loves peplum and now so does Simone Rocha apparently…”

@BasmaKhalifa gives @StyleMint the exclusive into #LFW…starting with @Math SS13 collection.
"Math SS13. One of my favourites, and not because I assisted the styling of the show but because I love the underdog. Shaz Mohayudin is a young British designer fresh on to the #LFW scene and the one to watch. His labelled Math (mainly named to represent the geometric and mathematics behind combining different materials, colours and shapes, clever no?) is in its second season with Vauxhall Fashion Scout. The collection consists of sharp clean lines and pops of neon orange. His collection is for the working women who wants to look chic (or sick as he tends to refer to his clothes) as she pops out of her taxi and into the office and then on to her evening events ready to take charge. And I do believe it, it’s wearable and interesting yet not too over-whelming but still a head turner. What everyone secretly wants…"

kennedycory:
@itsjeremyscott show!!! Attendance was chaotic, per usual. Screaming fans everywhere. Interviewed Jeremy after the show about the collection which he said was inspired by the east and how he envisions it, not having visited the mysterious place. Add that with a twist of Harlem street style and you have Jeremy Scott’s ss 2013 collection.
